It's time for the WA RAW Comedy State Final, held in 2024 at the beautiful Rechabite Hall!

We've whittled the state's freshest and funniest comedic talent down from literally hundreds - to just 15, and they've got five minutes each to impress the judges, for their chance to represent WA at the National Grand Final to be held at Melbourne Town Hall as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival!

With past competitors including Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Celia Pacquola, Matt Okine, Anne Edmonds, Becky Lucas and Aaron Chen (just to name a few), RAW Comedy is the place for new comedy talent to reach new heights, one joke at a time.

WHAT IS RAW COMEDY?

• RAW Comedy is Australia's largest and most prestigious comedy competition.
• RAW Comedy happens in every capital city in Australia and in some regional centres between January and March annually.
• You enter your details and your preferred heat when registering online.
• You perform a 5 minute spot of new, original comedy material at the heat.
• Heats are compered by a professional comedian and are open to the public to attend.
• The best acts from the heats progress to appropriate finals.
• The best acts from the State Finals generally go onto the National Final.
• The National Grand Final is held in the Melbourne Town Hall as a feature event of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. 
• The national RAW Comedy winner receives a trip to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where they’ll have a chance to compete in So You Think You’re Funny?
